“When love beckons you yield to him,
though his ways may be hard steep.” Kahlil Gibran

So many of us hold back from complete love. We lose so much by holding our love back. We protect ourselves from hurt sometimes at great loss. I’m not telling you to give your physical love at what could be a danger to you. If you have put up a wall around yourself for protection, break down that wall and let others see the wonderful you that you really are.

Listen to your intuition. What I’m saying is to “be love.” Let others see the real you and who you really are. Let them see  you as approachable.

“What is fear of need but need itself.” Kahlil Gibran

I’ve reread The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. As I read it and read it  again  I  find  more and more wisdom in every paragraph. When we are open to it, wisdom is available to us.

Gibran also wrote “Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.”  There is polarity in everything in life. I think this is what Gibran is talking about in this quote.
At the lowest end of this pole is sorrow, but at the highest is joy. So take a look at where you are in your life. Are you on the sorrow end of the pole or the Joy? There’s a lot in between too.  You have the ability to choose. You can decide  where you want to live.

I am choosing joy.

My garden gives me so much pleasure that I want to share it with everyone. The reality of texture and fragrance is far prettier than the pictures. You can “double click” the pictures for a closer view.

From left to right are: Double Delight rose. various bedding flowers and wisteria bulbs and iris bulbs, the tall red rose is an Ingrid Bergman, Peace, Joey, Sterling Silver, First Prize, French Lace, more First Prize, another Double Delight.
Difficult to see in the pictures, but against the fence are pink jasmine and further down a pink Cecile Bruner miniature climbing rose that is really lovely.  I hope you enjoy.

Spring is in the Air

Its Spring!

It’s Spring and everything is coming into bloom!  My Garden Angel and I are busy enjoying the sun and making everything even more beautiful. Above are petunias and verbena on the birdbath in the rose garden.

The roses are spectacular this year. Also many are stopping by on their daily walks to admire our desert area in the front of our home.

Joey - 1st Spring Bloom

Joey smells even better than it looks. Can anything be more beautiful?
