BITTERNESS

Joy is a Choice

JOY

GETTING RID OF THE BITTERS.

We are to know the passing events cannot hinder the onward march of the soul. – Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind

Yesterday a dear friend wrote to me that a friend of hers got a great job that she, herself, wanted. She was happy for her friend, but asked “How do I get rid of being bitter?”

Sometimes life seems unfair. The truth is that no one can take your good from you. The job was her friend’s good. My friend’s good is still here. We may have a glorious dream of what our life is going to be. Then something happens that knocks us for a loop. The dream is shattered. it couldn’t happen, not to us, but it does happen. What did we do wrong? Why do we have to go through this?

Your good comes to you at the right time in the perfect way. Your life always happens in God’s Divine Plan and in God’s perfect timing. Sometimes that seems too long for us to wait. We don’t want to wait for what we want. We want it now. We think we need it now. When we learn to trust God and relax into the Peace of Spirit, we learn to let go and allow God’s perfect plan to work for us. We are rewarded in a far greater way than we would have first imagined. God is Infinite Wisdom which is always indwelling within us That wisdom is within us and always available to us.

Take the time now to go within to that place where God always is. Allow that perfect peace to flow through you. Know now that God wants all that is good and perfect for you.

AFFIRMATION: Today I know that God’s perfect timing is at work in my life. I now turn my life over to God, knowing that my success is assured.

SUCCESS

The Success Factor

“Faith perseverance and endurance are the keys to a successful life.”
Gail Manishor, Author of From Here to Serenity, A Spiritual Guide to Transform Your Life

Set goals and as you achieve one goal, set another. Begin with small goals and move to the next more
challenging one. Your first goal might be recognizing God in your life and being grateful even before you get up.
Try setting a time to get up in the morning, an exercise routine, or a job search. Each success leads you to the next success. When you put God first all else will follow.

Let gratitude set the tone for your day.

When you fear something, dwell on its opposite. Think about success and not the failure. What you put your attention on will expand. What you set your intention on, you will receive. This is the Law of the Universe.

“Do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not.” Kop Kopmeyer

Affirmation
I am strong, powerful and in charge of my life and affairs. I know that God’s perfect timing is at work in my life. I now turn my life over to God, knowing that my success is assured.

GAIL’S SERENITY GARDEN

Serenity

Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity.  ~Lindley Karstens, noproblemgarden.com

The Embankment

The embankment above shows our Mexican Marigold in full bloom, Bill’s favorite Cannalily in its pot and my roses below.

There’s something about being out in the garden that soothes my soul.  Our kitchen, family room and eating area all have large windows opening into the garden. It’s a part of our home. Each plant is like a little child to me. I delight over its beauty and success and feel sad when it doesn’t look too good. When one dies, I feel bad. I found the quote below which puts it the way I feel it.

When one of my plants dies, I die a little inside, too.  ~Linda Solegato
