HOLIDAY HAPPINESS

How The Grinch Stole Christmas on Thanksgiving

How the Grinch stole Christmas [Book]

We (Bill and I) arrived in Chico (above Sacramento) for my daughter’s birthday and Thanksgiving.
It was the  evening of her birthday and my granddaughters and their husbands arrived with
3 very lively little boys in tow. Everything was very quiet until 3 boys arrive.
2 are 3 years old, 1 is 9 months and almost walking. The noise accelerates from there,
but so does the joy.

Mason, the oldest 3-year-old is a happy little imp. Niko is 3 and happy and has
a memory like an elephant. Niko performed with pride his “Pledge of Allegiance
to the Flag” and his song “I Love America” which he learned at pre-school and
then took a bow.

Baby Jax proceeded to tear up all magazines left out for his amusement, of course.

I presented the 2 older boys with their first “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” Book and they immediately clamoured for me to read it to them. We went into the living room and each settled into the big chair on either side of me their eyes were as wide as saucers as they listened. I began to read and they were riveted to the story until I got to the Who’s in Who-ville. “But, who are the who’s?” Niko asked. I proceeded to explain and it went on for a while like Abbot and Costello until they got it.

What a joy it was and what a great family I have. How blessed I am.

Niko, Grammye, Mason
