WORK & PLAY

           WORK

“Then a ploughman said, “Speak to us of Work.”

“When you work you are a flute through whose heart the whispering of the hours turns to music.
Which of you would be a reed, dumb and silent, when all else sings together in unison?”
The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran

May your work be something you love and give your all to. May your play be given as much time as your work. Let there be balance in your work and your play so that your life is filled with the music of joy. Everything in perfect balance, Spiritual, work, play, love. It is all good because it is all God.

YOUR CHILDREN

     THE ARCHER

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The Archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.

Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;

For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.”  The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran

To me this means that we raise our children with love and do our best to set them on the right path for their highest good. Allow them to make their own mistakes loving them anyway. In their efforts to establish themselves as independent, they may seem to veer away from the path. Love them anyway. They will inevitably set up their values and their own paths.

In the picture below I see the freedom and joy that we want to give our children.

GIVING & RECEIVING

                  GIVING

“It is well go give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding: and to the open-handed the search for one who shall receive is joy greater than giving.” -The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran

When we give in love and with joy we are blessed as much as those to who we give. Our giving lifts the giver as well as the receiver. Generosity comes from the heart and without thought of any return at all. Can you do that? Do you do that? I know that you do. Bless you.
